Romantasy

These are my romantasy recommendations. I define romantasy as a story driven by the romantic relationship of the main character(s), NOT just a fantasy with romance in it. For me, the best example of this is A Court of Thorns and Roses vs. Throne of Glass. ACOTAR is a romantasy, because the romantic relationship is the primary plotline. For TOG, the romance is a subplot and, thus, a fantasy with romance in it.

  • The cover of Phantasm shows a skull with a heart shaped necklace, surrounded by roses and gold filigree, with the title and author.

    Phantasma

After Ophelia Grimm's mother suddenly dies and she receives the family necromancer magic, Ophelia and her sister Genevieve learn that their mother had outstanding debts, and their family manor was the collateral. When Genevieve enters into Phantasma, a deadly game through the 9 Circles of Hell in which the winner can ask a Devil for whatever their heart desires, Ophelia follows her, determined to force her to forfeit. But once inside, Ophelia learns that she can't see her sister until level 7 and must survive the Devil's Manor until then.
